Agents Comments:
Shelly Beach features nesting turtles, a beautiful long stretch of crowdless sand, lookalike pancake rocks and Blue-Ringed Octopus. Getting to this beach is difficult. A refidex search reveals a puzzle of zig-zag ways and dead end streets. If you can make it past the facade of coastal Cottonwoods, Banksia’s and the She oak fringe you realise just how beautiful this beach is. Without lifeguards and kids with floaties, you will enjoy quiet strolls and private ocean plunges.

This property borders a pristine coastal natural reserve and beachfront sand of the Pacific ocean that stretches all the way to Chile. Technically, you only have one neighbour. With an outlook of bush and water this house has been someone’s home for 27 years. The house itself consists of rendered block and hardwood timber finish, perfect for a coastal environment. The design provides 3 key separate entertainment areas, around the pool with a walkup bar, a spacious upper deck with ocean views and the formal lounge with a fireplace setting. The 10 seat dining area looks nice, but the deck with the forest and ocean outlook and soothing soundtrack of waves has more appeal.

With a sense of urgency, I encourage you to find a moment, walk this beach, observe how quiet it is, the tree to surf connection and each soft rolling wave as it melts into golden sand. Truly, this is a magic spot. If you go further, walk the rocks and explore the pools and if you look hard enough you will find Blue-Ringed Octopus.

Fun Fact: The blue-ringed octopus is exceptionally deadly, carrying enough neurotoxic venom to kill 26 adult humans within minutes. Despite its small size, its bite is typically painless, yet it causes rapid paralysis and respiratory failure, with no known antivenom. Interestingly, there have been no recorded injuries on the Sunshine Coast. They are private and quiet by nature, they live in a secure habitat and love comfortable surroundings. This species, like some property, can be incredibly difficult to find. Be thankful I am not a marine biologist.
