Stuarts background:

Originally from Coonamble located on the North West Slopes and Plains of NSW, his parents moved to Goondiwindi in the early 80’s and continued crop farming and large scale cattle production enterprise. After a tertiary rural course at Gatton College and further rural experience Stuart somehow ended up at Gemini Resort Golden Beach to help his future In-Laws.

After a couple of years experience at Gemini Resort Stuart & Kylie purchased the management rights before selling the business in 2002. This experience provided the training and framework to move into Real Estate. I had sold sufficient apartments in the complex to think real estate might be easy. So we bought Raine & Horne Caloundra. On reflection, it was an interesting transition, moving from management rights to a Real Estate business required more time than originally planned to rebuild the team and culture.

The journey continued with the purchase of another 2 real offices. A decision was made to move from a Franchise to a Independent Agency operation. As a result Local Agent was soon created. Local Agent provides Residential property sales and holiday and permanent management services.

In 2006 Local Agent took the opportunity secure the Qld license for the Pilling sales system and recommends the Ranged Based Selling Strategy as a great alternative to fixed price marketing. It is a great way to protect the sellers and to increase property inspections.

As a result of his back ground in management rights Stuart incorporated a network of On-site managers into the agency and now assists On-Site managers in marketing property within the complexes they manage.
